THE LORE

Long before the first galleon reached Baler's shores, the Goddess of Dawn - Aurora, fell into a deep slumber. To protect the province from eternal shadow, she shattered her golden crown into 25 shards of light and scattered them across the Sierra Madre and the Pacific coast. Since then, the province has existed in a beautiful, misty 'blue hour'.

Legend says that if travelers find all 25 shards and speak the Incantation of the Morning, the Goddess will fully awaken, blessing the province with eternal prosperity. But there is a catch: the Goddess only reveals her shards to those who prove their worth by honoring the land, its history, and its people.

MECHANICS

  1. OVERVIEW
    The Aurora Chronicles is an annual scavenger hunt series exploring the myths, history, and culture of our province. This year's chapter, Order of the Dawn, tasks seekers with finding 25 hidden Glyphs scatterd by AURORA, THE GODDESS OF DAWN. This is an exclusive SIDE QUEST to the primary Travel Bingo challenge. While the Bingo challenge is open to all, only the successful finders of the physical Glyphs - the "Shard Seekers" - will have the opportunity to solve the final mystery.
  2. ELIGIBILITY & DUAL PARTICIPATION
    • Open to all NON-residents of Aurora aged 18 and above with a verified Aurora.ph account.
    • Dual Participation: Members may join both the Travel Bingo and The Aurora Chronicles. Since both contests share the exact same 25 locations, hunters are encouraged to check in for Bingo and hunt for Glyphs simultaneously.
    • Multi-Win Eligibility: A member is eligible to find more than one Glyph. For every unique Glyph you are the first to find, you will receive the corresponding location prize bundle.
  3. CONTEST MECHANICS
    • Phase 1: The Hunt for the Glyphs
    • Phase 2: The Inner Circle (Maximum 25 Members)
      • Exclusive Access: Only those who have successfully found and uploaded at least one Glyph are eligible to see the rest of the hidden characters.
      • The Shared Shards: Once you become a "Shard Seeker," your dashboard will automatically populate with every character found by other seekers across the province.
      • The Race: If one person finds all 25 Glyphs, they alone will see the characters. If 25 different people find one Glyph each, those 25 individuals will compete to unscramble the message.
    • Phase 3: The Grand Unscrambling
      • The Goal: Once all 25 Glyphs are discovered, eligible Shard Seekers must unscramble the 25 characters (letters and punctuation) to reveal the Incantation of the Dawn.
      • The Winner: The first eligible Shard Seeker to correctly input the unscrambled message into their dashboard wins the Grand Prize.

  5. CRUCIAL RULES
    • Glyph Integrity: Do not move, hide, or deface the physical Glyphs. Tampering may result in a permanent ban from all Aurora.ph contests.
    • Selfie Verification: Selfies must be clear, authentic, and taken at the location. AI-generated or manipulated images that obscure the reality of the visit will be disqualified.
    • Server Authority: The "First Finder" status is determined strictly by the server-side upload timestamp on Aurora.ph.
  6. TERMS & CONDITIONS (THE FINE PRINT)
    • Annual Series: The Aurora Chronicles is a recurring series with different themes each year.
    • Independent Requirements: Checking in for Travel Bingo does not count as finding a Glyph. Shard Seekers must upload the specific Glyph selfie to progress in the Chronicles.
    • Finality: All decisions by the Aurora.ph committee regarding riddle solutions, character reveals, and unscrambling winners are final.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Long before the first surfers touched the waves of Sabang, legends speak of the Dawn Goddess, Aurora, who painted the sky each morning to protect the province from the shadows of the deep. To ensure the land would always find its way back to the light, she scattered 25 sacred shards across her favorite peaks, falls, and shores. These shards form the "Incantation of the Dawn." Season One: Order of the Dawn invites you to become a modern-day protector - a Dawn-Chaser - to find these hidden glyphs and speak the incantation once more to awaken the spirit of the province.

Part of the challenge is the mystery! While the 25 locations are the same as the Travel Bingo, the exact spot of the Glyph within those locations is hidden. You'll need to solve the riddles dropped on our social media to know exactly where to look once you arrive at the destination.

No paper here! The Glyphs are ancient in spirit - look for a Luminous Stone. Each one is a unique, glow-in-the-dark or reflective stone with a single character etched onto the rock. They are designed to catch the light (and your eye), but they are small enough to be tucked away in the Goddess's favorite hiding spots.

You could, but you'd be missing out! You'll also be spoiling the hunt for all Dawn-Chasers. You only get the Shard Seeker Bundle if you are the first to officially upload the selfie photo. Plus, you won't be able to see the characters found by others until you have at least one verified find of your own. Take note, we will reveal ALL characters to the Inner Circle before the hunt ends, nonetheless.

We want you to be safe! Glyphs are hidden in plain sight or slightly tucked away - think behind a sign, under a bench, or near a landmark. You will never need to engage in dangerous climbing, swimming into deep caves, or digging into the earth. If you're at risk of hurting yourself or the environment, you're looking in the wrong place!

Not at all. While you won't win the "First Finder" prize bundle for that specific spot, uploading your selfie with the Glyph in other locations still qualifies you as a Shard Seeker. This grants you entry into the "Inner Circle," allowing you to see the scrambled dashboard once all 25 characters are unlocked. Also, uploading your selfie and leaving a review for that location counts as a digital stamp for the Travel Bingo, for which there are separate prizes.

No. That is the best part of the Chronicles! You can win multiple Location Prizes (one for every unique Glyph you are the first to find). Furthermore, winning a Location Prize does not disqualify you from winning the Php 25,000 Grand Prize for unscrambling the incantation.

The Goddess rests until the turn of the month! The Luminous Stones will only be placed and activated at random dates beginning June 22, 2026 once the riddle for a specific location has been dropped on our social media accounts. Any selfies taken with locations before this date will count for your Travel Bingo stamps, but they will not count for the Order Of The Dawn.

Nice eyes, Seeker! However, the Goddess only recognizes finds that happen "in the light." A Glyph is only valid for upload after its official riddle has been posted. If you find one early, keep the location a secret so you can be the first to upload it once the clue drops!

You can explore anytime for your Travel Bingo stamps! But for the Order Of The Dawn, the specific "Shard Seeker prize" and the character unlock only happen once that location's "window" is opened by the social media drop.

Keep a sharp eye on our Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram! We drop riddle clues for each location one by one in random order. Solve the riddle, find the physical shard (the Glyph), and be the first to upload a selfie with it.

The "Shard Seeker prize" goes to the first person who successfully uploads a verified photo. However, don't be discouraged! You can still hunt for any of the other remaining Glyphs to join the "Inner Circle."

No. Access to the characters is exclusive to the Inner Circle of Shard Seekers. You must be the first finder of at least one of the 25 Glyphs to unlock the scrambled characters on your dashboard.

Yes! If you are the fastest to find and upload multiple Glyphs, you get the Shard Seeker prize bundle for each one. You could potentially take home several caps and bags!

The prize is based on the upload timestamp, not the moment you found it. If someone else finds it and uploads their photo while you're still trekking back to a signal zone, they will be credited as the winner. Upload as soon as you can!

Once all 25 characters are unlocked by the community, Shard Seekers will see them on their dashboard in a scrambled mess. The first person to unscramble them into the correct "Incantation of the Dawn" and type it into the provided box on the dashboard wins the Php 25,000 cash + Sponsor bundle.

If a Glyph remains missing by December 1, 2026, we will reveal that character to the Inner Circle so the unscrambling can begin. However, the location prize for that specific Glyph will not be awarded.

Not at all! As a Shard Seeker, you are allowed unlimited attempts to solve the Incantation message. If your first guess is wrong, the dashboard will notify you immediately, and you can try a different arrangement. The field remains open to all eligible Shard Seekers until the very moment the first person successfully inputs the correct message.

There is no lockout period; however, remember that every second you spend re-typing is a second someone else could use to submit the correct answer. We recommend double-checking your spelling and punctuation (including that tricky apostrophe!) before hitting submit!

The dashboard is not case-insensitive, but the 25 characters (including any punctuation or special character) must be in the exact correct sequence to trigger the Awakening.

  • For Location Prizes: Once you upload your selfie with the Luminous Stone, our team will verify the find. If you are the first, we will notify you via your dashboard and contact you directly to arrange the pickup of your designated prize.

  • For the Grand Prize: The moment the system accepts your correct Incantation, the Grand Prize is "Soft-Locked." Aurora.ph will perform a final audit of your account and finds. Once confirmed, we will reach out to you personally to announce your victory and coordinate the Php 25,000 cash and Surprise Bundle handover.

Active (Luminous) Stone
A Luminous Stone that has been officially deployed into the real world. Its clue is live, and it is currently waiting to be discovered by a Dawn Chaser.

Aurora Chronicles
The overarching name of the epic, real-world adventure series hosted on the Aurora.ph portal, blending local travel with interactive lore.

Chronicles
The shorthand or common nickname for The Aurora Chronicles.

Dawn Chaser
The starting title for any registered player participating in the game. You remain a Dawn Chaser as you explore the province, decipher clues, and hunt for your first shard.

Eight Towns, The
The collective reference to the municipalities of Aurora Province (Baler, Casiguran, Dilasag, Dinalungan, Dingalan, Dipaculao, Maria Aurora, and San Luis) that serve as the vast, real-world map where the 25 Luminous Stones are hidden.

Explorer's Creed
The guiding principles and official code of conduct for all Dawn Chasers. It outlines the spirit of the adventure and the rules of engagement for the quest, inspiring genuine exploration and respectful travel throughout the province.

First Finder
The very first Dawn Chaser to successfully locate, claim, and verify an Active Stone at one of the 25 secret locations. Achieving this title instantly elevates a player to a Shard Seeker.

Glyph
An ancient, cryptic symbol tied to a specific location in the province. Each Glyph represents a fragmented piece of the final Incantation Message.

Glyph Grid
The interactive, mystical digital map on your dashboard. This grid tracks the real-time status of the quest, displaying which Luminous Stones are active, which have been found, and the Glyphs that have been unlocked so far.

Goddess of Dawn (Aurora)
Aurora, the Goddess of Dawn - the central figure of the game's lore. This is a reimagined origin story that seamlessly blends the Roman Goddess of Dawn with the rich, deep-rooted history and spirit of Aurora Province.

Grand Prize (or The Ultimate Reward)
The separate, massive final prize pool awarded exclusively to the single Shard Seeker within the Inner Circle who successfully decrypts and correctly guesses the complete Incantation of the Dawn.

Incantation of the Dawn (or Incantation of the Morning)
The ultimate mystery of the game. It is a hidden message formed only when all 25 Glyphs are combined. Guessing this complete incantation is the final challenge of the game.

Inner Circle
The elite, exclusive society composed entirely of Shard Seekers. Because there are only 25 shards hidden across the province, the Inner Circle has a strict maximum membership of exactly 25 players.

Location Prize
Another term for the Shard Seeker Bundle. A Location Prize includes exclusive, localized rewards specific to the exact tourist spot or municipality where the shard was discovered.

Luminous Stones
The physical or digital manifestations of the shards. There are exactly 25 Luminous Stones hidden across secret locations within the province.

Order of the Dawn
Chapter One of The Aurora Chronicles. This is the specific title of the current quest you are playing.

Riddle Drops
The scheduled, staggered release of clues on social media, in official trailers, and on the game dashboard. These clues guide Dawn Chasers toward newly activated Luminous Stones over the course of the campaign.

Shard (or Luminous Shard)
A shattered fragment of the Goddess of Dawn's crown, taking the form of a brilliant gemstone.

Shard Seeker
An elevated, prestigious title granted to a Dawn Chaser the exact moment they become a First Finder of a Luminous Stone. Only Shard Seekers are granted entry into the Inner Circle and are eligible to compete in the final round to guess the Incantation Message.

Shard Seeker Bundle
The premium prize package awarded to the First Finder of a Luminous Stone.
