ng 40 taon. Parang kailan lang ay nagdiriwang uli tayo at salosalo sa pagkain
at inuman kaya lang parang paulit-ulit na lang at walang pagbabago. Sana naman
ay tingnan natin at damhin ang tamang kahulugan ng pagdiriwang (fiesta). Ngunit
sa sandaling ang bayan ito (San Luis) na aking pinili ay magpakumbaba, manalangin,
hanapin ako at talikdan ang kanilang kasamaan, diringgin ko sila. Patawarin ko
sila. At ibabalik ko sa kanilang lupain ang katiwasayan at kasaganaan (2Cronica
7:14). Paki lagay naman ang mga letrato ng kafiestahan ng Baler.Kumusta sa mga staff

A week or so from now will be our town fiesta. Our time flies.
Year after year, the message
of the fiesta is proclaimed and preached. As I reminisce, during the early
years of my childhood up until I left Baler in 1955, the most celebrated
and greatest
event of my year was the town fiesta. The thoroughfares were embelished with
attractive woven arches of split bamboo, stack with palm leaves. The band,
which was the pride of the town layed through out the day up until
midnight. Kuwitis
and labentador (fireworks) lighted up the darkness of the sky. In Baler it
was a tradition that before the day of the twon fiesta everybody
came to town, even
those living in the farthest hamlet. Since there were no commercial inns and
hotels to acommodate them, they found havens in the house of relatives and
a friend. Every house was full to capacity with people dressed
in there Sunday
best. Food were served in every home. No guest were aloud to leave without
being stuffed. The main event of the fiesta, moreover, was the
celebration of high
mass in honor of the patron saint, St. Louis of Tolouse. All were required
to attend. The twon celebration included Juego de Anillo (tilting
of rings) made
of mirthful ribbons. Each ring was given by a fair-lady of the town, and each
young courageous man tried to hold on the ring of his love one, her colors
for the day of the event. The celebration was concluded by a moro-moro,
a play depicting
the Christians versus the Infidels. As always the Christians wins. As always,
Baler to me is most beautiful spot on earth, a Shangri-La never before imagined.
You can go the life of your own pace, where eating is a function of desire,
not the ticking of a clock. You can stroll down on shimmering grayist
sandy beaches,
skin dive and immerse your self in the tranquility of the ocean and breathtaking
landscapes, for it is here where you can relax both body and soul. When it
is over, just close your eyes and savor the dream of this paradise.
It is a sanctuary
for man and nature, an area rich in blessing, land abundance and much of it
is sacred. O!o!o!ops! sorry I'm getting carried away. Enjoy the

doon noong bata pa po kami. mga 15 years na po ang nakararaan....... Sana po
sa pagpunta ko ng baler ay makita ko po uli and Dam. at saka nga pala ang reserva
river.... kasi po noong araw ay nagtataka ako kung bakit a reserva river ay laging
palipat lipat. noon ko lang nalaman na kahit pala ang ilog ay laging nagpapalipatlipat
din.... nagtataka lang.... happy fiesta na lang po sa inyong lahat.... na lang
po....... Once again, August 19 is past approaching.... This would mean
that "Baler
Fiesta" is around the corner.. It is hard to admit that it brings a lot of
memories. Over 10 years of my stay there, on every fiesta is worth a try of
remembering.
The sound of the drums and the horns in the morning at 4 was truly unscapepable.
It was only yesterday...... then I woke up, the reality was that it was almost
25 years...... They were really wonderful wonderful years..... TO ALL, HAVE
A HAPPY FIESTA..... MAY GOD KEEP BLESSING YOUR WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL TOWN.....

Luzon.Strategically located near Region III and will surely benefit all government
workers who have to go in Region IV just to follow up or pass their report and
have to pass thru Manila which consume so much travel time and expenses. Whereas
if it will become part of Region III it will be more accesible to the people
of Aurora to conduct business since they are only one ride away from its center.Please
try not to put political color on this undertaking. Anyway, Auroran's would still
be called Auroran's and the most important thing is wether you are in Region

mahiwalay na ang aurora na laging kabuntot ng quezon...para lahat ng government
and private transaction ay sa regional office na sa pampanga pupunta at hindi
na dadaan sa manila papuntang regional office ng region 4, marami ding regional
office sa nueva ecija...para mabahaginan naman tayo ng malaking pondo ng region
3...i hope hindi namumulitika sina sen. angara and cong.castillo and mr. avancena,
although tumatanaw tayo ng utang naloob sa mga quezon, siguro hindi naman magagalit
si pres.manuel quezon kung humiwalay tayo ng rehiyon since region 3 is part of
the philippines.(I HOPE HINDI ITO I-EDIT NG VOLUNTEERED WEBMASTER!) keep on promoting aurora as a province not as part of quezon. napapanood ko

have changed since then. The untouched shoreline from the coral reef of Munting
Gasang down to Digisit was impacted by new comers. In assessing the damage that
those people have done to Baler, mostly in the last 30 years, it is not easy
to think of things the people have done to counterbalance the harm. And off course
the political machinery of Baler has something to do with it. The shoreline of
Baler should be left alone and let nature takecare of its course, and preserve
it as a National Park so that the generation of tomorrow will witness and enjoy
the God given nature's beauty of Baler. ahm.....i'm speechless...well i just want to congratulate you, webmaster,

we visited the place a month ago (March 2002) and found a wonderfully refreshing
atmosphere. The true spirit of Philippines can be found there. We were escorted
to such magnificent sights such as Pimentel, Digisit, Kaunayan Falls, Balete
Tree and Lukso-lukso! The long and arduous trip in the mountains was truly worth
it!!! We cannot wait to be back... Congratulation for having a site in the internet like this. But maybe it
can help if you will put an online chat room in this site so that Aurorians and
other people around the world specially with their love ones can communicate

barangay, Ditinagyan, over this last Christmas. My wife grew up in Ditinagyan
and Baler. But it was the first time I have visited this part of the Philippines.
The countryside, mountains, and oceans are beautiful. I hope to come back again!
