a sense of gratitude and thangs to the family of Congresswoman
Bellaflor Angara-Castillo who pioneered it. First and foremost
her daughter. She maintained this website and see to it that
everything goes well. Seconded by my rooky nephew, Joseph Gonzales
with his newly created webpage Batangbaler. Both were commendable
and they should be honored for their great endeavor and contribution
to all scattered residents of Aurora province worldwide. Without
their webpages fast commnunications are impossible. Of course long
distance telephone are always available, but it will cost you a

I was born in Baler and my brother Ric mentioned just today about this site and
was reading some of the postings. I found that Ramil wrote a noten addressed
to Arnold which made me remember him. Arnold Gomez Amatorio is a dear cousin,
who almost always was there in the airport whenever I arrived on vacation while
working in the Middle East. It was so unfortunate that a good natured guy was
killed by an assailant, another example wherein justice was never served. Anyways,

tell you that we also have our own scenic spot in our hometown
the famous "Bulawan Falls". I have pictures of
the said falls and I want to share it with you, surfers out there but I don't

to remain in Aurora. It's not just the scenic beauty, but the gracious hospitality
of Aurorans that makes Aurora the fascinating place that it is. BALER AURORA IS A PLACE THAT IS WAITING TO BE DISCOVER. IT'S GOT ITS OWN BEAUTY

THIS PLACE. I am a native of Aurora, born and raise in Baler. I graduated High School
in MCC, get my degree in Manila now married and working abroad. If there's a
place that I miss so much about Philippines it's the town of Baler. This small
enchanting town is where 90% of my relatives reside. My favorite is the beach
front. I am a little dissappointed because the last time I heard about it is
very sad, lands by the sea side keeps eroding due to weak foundation of the seawall.
I've been wondering, why can't Politicians from this town who at present is occupying
a very good position even some in high government cannot built a more reliable,
professionally engineered seawall that can stand the strong impact of waves (especially
during typhoon season)to preserve and retain this wonderful place. They keep
building cheap budget seawall that only last in a short period of time. They're
solution is temporary. They can't even put few night lamps lights where both
tourists and locals can enjoy at night time. What's their excuse? Anyway, thanks
for this webpage. I'm glad there's a webpage I can go look to see update of my

restoration. However, with the continuing devastation of the forestry resources
the elements that support Aurora's beautiful landscapes are now in peril. I was
in Casiguran for a month vacation this year. Effects of such deforestation are
visible along the Sierra Madre mountain as river bank erosion, siltation, flood
etc. I believe the new elected government officials can do something to preserve
Aurora as part of our cultural heritage. Thank you for the nice web page on my province. Pero sana maglagay naman ng

eco-system and the environment are taken care off, that natures beauty will be

of the erosion of the hillside and another P1 million for its beautification.
I agree that Ermita Hill is one of Aurora's best tourist attractions and certainly
one of many things that Casiguran can be proud of. I have instructed my staff
to make sure that it is included in the Aurora website. A commendable initiative, but please pay more attention to content and context.
If your purpose is to promote Aurora for eco-tourism, am afraid you've fallen
short of that objective - looks more like a website for Baler. WONDERFUL @ VERY INTERESTING... how i hope "Ermita Hill", a place located
in Casiguran Poblacion maybe included and be promoted here as one of the best
tourist attraction in Aurora. The place is overviewing the natural landscape
of the whole poblacion, the fascinating coastal of casiguran bay and nearby barrios.
Considered a sacred place, Ermita Hill know to be the center religious and devotional
activities of Miraculous Mother Mary devotees. Situated on the top of the hill
is the church were the life size statue of Mother Mary is placed. Ermita Hill
is always mentioned in the story authored by Miranda Guerrero "The Myth of Casiguran".
